Fire Resistant Panels

Fire-rated panelworks with composite panels rated up to 4 hours

P. H. Insulations offers fire rated and non-combustible panelworks using a variety of composite fire resistant panels – with fire ratings of up to 4 hours. Their applications include an economical way of creating fire-rated walls when compartmenting large warehouses, including walkways and linking areas.

PIR insulation panels are frequently used if fire-resistant panels are specified for cold room, chill store and clean-room environments. A fire rating of up to 1 hour can currently be achieved from panels with a PIR core.

Panels with a mineral wool fibre core are now a major consideration due to their excellent fire resistance and insulation properties, and P. H. Insulations are a major installer of this type of panel. The mineral wool core wall and ceiling panels we offer are able to maintain a fire resistance of up to 4 hours for walls, and 2 hours for ceilings.

There is an increasing preference with building authorities, fire authorities, and insurance companies, for the use of insulated panels with a mineral fibre core, due to the safety and environmental benefits combined in their insulation and fire-resistant qualities.

Composite panels are all self-finished and can be provided simply with primed steel facings suitable for painting on site or in a variety of finished facings so no painting or other site finishing is then necessary.

Fire-rated doors and windows are available with finishes to match. All installations of fire-resistant panels are carried out to manufacturer’s recommendations and all carry LPCB certification.

We operate from a 10,000 sq. ft. workshop and storage facility. We order insulated panels to meet installation needs, however we do carry a stock of insulated panels, including fire-retardant insulated panels for use in emergency situations, or for when our customers need them at short notice during shutdown periods. This helps reduce or avoid down time on site, enabling maintenance to proceed as scheduled, while maximising production time.
